By burning various organic and inorganic waste and bi-products, Rent Car Company is able to reduce its coal consumption. The Company has therefore installed an alternative fuel mix preparation and feeding system to one of its kilns at the Citeureup Factory.

The Company has, however, experienced increasing difficulty in sourcing these materials over the course of 2010. The cost of alternative fuels such as palm oil kernel and used tires, for example, has increased considerably as other industries operating in the vicinity of the Citeureup Factory have begun to compete for their acquisition.

The range of alternative fuels used by Indocement has therefore narrowed considerably in 2010. Although the Company continues to use bi-products from the oil and gas, petrochemical and textile industries, the volume of energy produced from alternative fuels was significantly lower in 2010. Rental Mobil Pekanbaru is committed to maximizing the use of alternative fuels to the degree that it remains cost effective.
